"It’s no great exaggeration to say that I haven’t worked anywhere quite so satisfying as here, which is faintly depressing for a man in his thirties."
"The people I meet at the Cartoon Museum make it a treat for me to come in and the artwork I see first-hand is a privilege."

We need your help!
If you are interested in helping the Museum on a volunteer basis over the coming months as we move the museum and get ready for opening we would really appreciate your support. The following are some of the general tasks we will be working on over the coming months, which it would be great to have your help with…
· Ebay / online shop sales - selling stock or old museum items before the move
· Packing up and labelling of boxes
· Assisting with the logistics of the move
In addition to this general help, we also have some new specific volunteer roles which focus on documenting the move and also supporting the planning and development of the visitor offer at the new museum that you might be interested in:
Lead Volunteer coordinator
Providing help with the coordination of volunteer rotas, provide assistance with volunteer recruitment events and support the planning of volunteer celebration and social events.
Audience insight volunteers
Providing help with understanding new markets and audiences, carrying out surveys, collate targeted prospect lists supporting venue hire sales, corporate membership sales, shop and events promotions.
Marketing & live events volunteers
Providing help with marketing the new museum offer and support live & pop up events prior to opening. Assisting with promotion of the museum via social media channels, leaflet distribution, press calls and outdoor advertising.
Volunteer guest bloggers
Providing new content for the museums website and social media channels. Bloggers can write about their favourite cartoon/comic or their role at the museum, the project progress and behind the scenes news.
Highlight tours volunteers
Volunteers have the opportunity to research and present a mini 'highlight' tour on a subject/specific work/theme close to their heart based on the museums collection.
Please note: You must be aged 18 or over to volunteer at the museum. We regret that we are unable to host work experience placements for under-18s as well.
